Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something.
If that weren't enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.
If i thought that the first book was complicated,i was wrong.Crescendo starts like a typical sequel, everything is good and fine, untile the ups and downs begin.
I never thought that i will say this, but i have to: what happened in this book was a crazy roller-coaster that made my head spin.
Jealousy.Revenge.Love or Hate?
Why i said that this was a crazy roller-coaster?Well,considering the fact that everything complicated in the stangest way and even if i liked the fact that i got the chance to find out more about Patch's past,i hoped that this book will have a better end,not the one it had.
Honestly,i have the same opinion about this serie.I liked the idea of fallen angels ,nephilims and all the jazz. They way this story was written and the way the characters evolved, even if i didn't like some things that happened between the main characters.Well, that was until i found out the truth at the end of the book.
This time Nora had to face too many things at once:her break up with Patch,Scott's arrivel and her connection with Marcie .But after Nora starts hearing a voice that belongs to someone from her past,a person she loved a lot, someone who will tell her something that will change her life forever, her life will complicate more than ever. Will Nora be able to get through all this events? Can she collect all the pieces of the puzzle and put them together to find out the truth or she will get caught in a trap that will put her life in danger?
However strange i thought this situations was,i have to admit that i was happy to read about how every time Nora was in danger Patch was there to save her.Yeah, yeah,i know,i'm an incurable romantic who hopes that all those bad things that happened between won't be something permanent.Hehe, weird, but that's how it is.
Nora ?I have to admit that she was a little obssessed.something that i did not like. But i liked her character and her way of thinking,i can say that in this book she evolved a little, but that didn't change my opinion.
Patch-the best way to describe him?A real mystery. His actions, his words and the way he was dissapearing every single time..well,those things made me want to dig dip until i could learn all his secrets. So,yeah,he was a real mystery,a charming and handsome mystery who ,even if he was an angel, fell in love with a simple girl.Yikes, like i said above,i'm an incurable romantic.
I never thought that i will hate Rixon.I thought that he was a good guy and that he was Patch's best friend, yet here i am trying to understand what happened. And Vee?Burned twice by two guys who wanted to hurt Nora.Well, that doesn't say much about Vee's love life, but it seems she has a bad luck when it comes to guys.
Scott Parnell's arrivel took me by surprise.I expected to read about an normal guy,not an nephilim, but ,huh,he appeared out of nowhere and brought a lot of troubles with him.
A lot of things happened in this book.Good and bad.Strange things that complicated everything. But the truth?Well, the truth turned everything upside down for Nora and it was absolutely shocking.
But,despite Nora's obssessive behavior ,i liked this book and i can't wait to read more about what will happen next with Nora and Patch.
