Review:Between Here and the Horizon by Callie Hart

“You think you know me. You think you want to know me. But trust me, Miss Lang. Pursuing me will be the worst mistake you ever make. I’m broken beyond repair...

...and I take great pleasure in breaking everyone else around me.”

Ophelia Lang needs money, and she needs it bad. Her parent’s restaurant is going under, and ever since she lost her job teaching third grade elementary, scraping enough cash together to pay the bills has proven almost impossible. Her parents are on the brink of losing their home. The vultures are circling overhead. So when Ophelia is offered an interview for a well-paid private tutoring gig in New York, how can she possibly say no?

Ronan Fletcher is far from the overweight, balding businessman Ophelia expected him to be. He’s young, handsome, and wealthy beyond all reason. He’s also perhaps the coldest, rudest person she’s ever met, and has a mean streak in him a mile and a half wide. A hundred grand is a lot of money, however, and if tolerating his frosty temperament, his erratic mood swings and whatever else he throws at her means she’ll get paid, then that is what Ophelia will do.

Her new boss is keeping secrets, though. Awful, terrible secrets.

The ghosts of Ronan Fletcher’s past are about to turn Ophelia’s future upside down, and she can’t even see it coming.

Review:

You know how it is when you find a book and you just can't stop reading?Well, that is exactly what happened to me when i started reading Between Here and The Horizon.Honestly, when i finished reading it i was surprised because i never, not once, looked at how many pages i had to reading until it was over.I wasn't bored and it didn't drove me insane. It was pretty much exactly the kind of book that satisfies my needs and cravings. The kind of book that gives me exactly what i need;true love, ups and downs, two characters different but made for each other, two perfect little kids who have no clue what will happen to them, mystery and a lot more .

At first i wasn't impressed with what was happening in this book.I had an epic moment of ''What the heck is happening here? Why?Who is that?..''And the story goes on.But step by step, chapter by chapter i started to realize that this story was exactly what i needed to read, exactly the kind of story i love.True love?Check. Two stubborn, impossible and perfect for each other characters?Double check.But..Besides that..Everything that happened in this book was crazy, from the beginning until the end of the book.Something you will never imagine.

Ophelia Lang's life changes completely from the moment she met Ronan Fletcher, but somehow after that everything changes again and it gets more complicated than ever.Meeting him is just the beginning of something truely crazy and complicated, something that makes Ophelia see that her life will never be the same again.
Sully Fletcher never thought that something good will happen to him again.Trying really hard to act like a grumpy, angry and cold-hearted man ,he tries to keep everyone away from him, especially his twin brother and his nephews. But that changes after something tragic happens and Sully is forced to do something that he never thought he'll ever do.Something that proves that he is not a cold-hearted man like everyone thought.

You want to know the reason why i liked this story?Because even if at some point it was heartbreaking,i loved how it started to change step by step, how everything started to transform into something beautiful, the beginning of something fascinating and true.I loved the fact that i never had the chance to get bored or ,i don't know how to explain this, but while i was reading this it never crossed my mind to stop reading it.I couldn't.I was facinated and i was truely interested to know more about what would happen next.

The whole Ronan/Sully thing was crazy,i swear!Their story was pretty intense and hard, but i got the chance to understand a lot about those two. And,honestly, now i know which one is my favorite.Yet,i hated the fact that only one brother chose to live and heal.
Ophelia? She was something else.Subborn, determined and beautiful.I loved her attitude and the fact that even after everything that happened she never gave up on those children.

This was something unexpected, but it was something i loved to read.

+ star.
