Review:Stars & Stripes (Cut & Run, #6) by Abigail Roux

Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett have managed the impossible: a few months of peace and quiet. After nearly a year of personal and professional turmoil, they're living together conflict-free, work is going smoothly, and they're both happy, healthy, and home every night before dark. But anyone who knows them knows that can’t possibly last.

When an emergency call from home upsets the balance of their carefully arranged world, Ty and Zane must juggle family drama with a perplexing crime to save a helpless victim before time runs out.

From the mountains of West Virginia to a remote Texas horse ranch harboring more than just livestock and childhood memories, Ty and Zane must face their fears—and their families—to overcome an unlikely enemy and bring peace back into their newly shared world.

Review:

“When the rain had hit the beach and Zane had turned to retreat to their room, Ty grabbed him instead and started a waltz in the downpour. When they finished the dance, people applauded from their balconies. It had been the first taste of what life with Ty might be like when they came out. It had also been one of the most romantic moments of his life.”

Where Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett go,danger follows, but it seems that even the danger couldn't stop them for loving each other.Still, even then they find a way to make everything funny, emotional and very hard not to love them.
Once again Ty and Zane found themselves in an unique situation full of:family drama,tigers,drugs.. and animal tranquilizers. It's not a lie the fact that the danger follows them everywhere, especially in this book, but, damn it!,a lot of scenes where hilarious and it made everything perfect, because you can't have a dangerous situations without funny moments ,right?Especially when it comes to Ty Grady and Zane Garrett.

This time Zane and Ty had to out themselves to those who they love most, their parents. as a gay couple, but not all of them are happy about that.In between that,a situation appears at Carter and Garrett farm ranch, the one that belongs to Zane's parents ..A situation that needs Zane's attention, and ,of course,Ty's.And here begins the fun!But nobody thought that tigers will be involved ,something that makes Ty do things he never thought he'll ever do.

“Are you ready to go home, my love?”
Zane bit his lip and nodded. “I’m ready for anything.”
Ty’s grin was slow and mischievous. “I certainly hope so.”

Good God,this book was full of surprises and i have to admit that i enjoyed every single chapter. It was pretty much hilarious and it was the perfect twist between amusament and danger, that's why i loved it.
There were many ups and downs-steps that were hard enough for both Ty and Zane, but somehow they managed to go through those steps together and solve everything that happened at the farm .
Once again the proved that their love was strong enough to face everything.Even Zane's mother,a character that i hate with all my heart,
Still, things that happened in Ty's past come barreling in the future, making Zane wish that Ty could tell him the whole truth about why he left the Marines and what happened to him in Afghanistan.Things that Ty hides from everyone, telling them that it's classified, even if it's obvious that it still bothers him.

“I don’t know, Zane. There are . . . there are so many paths in life. Some we choose, and some are chosen for us. We walk our paths without looking down and that’s the life we lead. The only things you’ll get from guessing where another path would have gone are questions you can’t answer and heartache you can’t ever soothe.”

You want to know why i laughed so much?
1.Ty's attitude was the one things that made me laugh, because ,c;mon!,he has a way to turn everything in something funny, especially when it comes to Zane or anything else.

2.Ty's fear of horses.Yeah, that was funny ,because he thought the horses were laughing at him or they were talking with him.Oh,how much i laughed because of that.
“Come on, Elmer,” he said to his horse. “Let’s find a nice prickly cactus you can toss me into.”
***
“Ty, the horses are not conspiring against you.”
Ty crossed his arms and shook his head. “He looks at me. And he talks to me! And he knows I don’t know what he’s saying!”

3.Ty's reaction when he first saw the tigers, especially meeting Barnum and Bailey. He fell in love with Barnum at first sigh and it was pretty much hilarious, because:He hated tiger or should i say big cats?Yeah. *sigh*
4.The scene when Ty faced Zane's mother..Those were epic because Zane's mother was a cold hearted bit** and Ty managed to shut her up.I loved that and i love Ty even more now.And it was funny.

“I love you," Ty said out of the blue, his voice almost sing-song.
Zane laughed. "You're drunk."
"I loved you before I was drunk.”

Despite some things,i loved Zane's father and sister, because they accepted the truth without making a fuss about everything and they accepted Ty instantly.Something that i approve and liked a lot.And Ty's parents? Were the best, even if it came down with some punches and a broken hand after that.
After that?Reading about Ty with a broken hand and a cast?Well, let's just say that it wasn't pretty at all.
This book pretty much defined the relationship between Zane and Ty,they made them realize a lot of tings and helped them see that loving each other isn't wrong and that a lot of people support them.IT was a roller coaster of emotional events for both Ty and Zane, because they had to face the reality of what those who they loved thought about what was happening between them, and the attacks on the ranch, attacks that nearly killed Ty.

That's why i loved reading about those two :Because they love each other so much and nothing could tear them apart.Everything between them was intense, funny or serious,it made everything look like they were real and it was pefect.Danger follows them everywhere, but even then Ty and Zane managed to transform everything in something funny and at the same time beautiful,And i want more!ASAP!
