Review:Thicker Than Water by Brigid Kemmerer

On his own

Thomas Bellweather hasn’t been in town long. Just long enough for his newlywed mother to be murdered, and for his new stepdad’s cop colleagues to decide Thomas is the primary suspect.

Not that there’s any evidence. But before Thomas got to Garretts Mill there had just been one other murder in twenty years.

The only person who believes him is Charlotte Rooker, little sister to three cops and, with her soft hands and sweet curves, straight-up dangerous to Thomas. Her best friend was the other murder vic. And she’d like a couple answers.

Answers that could get them both killed, and reveal a truth Thomas would die to keep hidden…

Usually,when i start reading a book i'm prepared for anything,but this book?Well,i'm not sure how it made me feel.Confused?Check.Surprised?Check.A little angry?Check.And the last one:Do i want more?Yeah.
But i admit that it was strange how the story turned up.The beginning was about Thomas and his mothers murder ,and then suddenly we get to read a little about supernatural powers.Strange,indeed.
I've read some book written by Brigid and i love her stories, but this time i'm not really sure what to think about this book.In a way i liked how it started and the end surprised me.I admit,i admit :It was okay!

Thomas Bellweather's life is turned upside down after his mother is murdered and he is the main suspect. But what Thomas doesn't know is that there were a lot of secrets hidden.Step by step he gets the chance to uncover those secrets, but until then everyone is accusing him of something bad. There are a few people who believe in him and maybe Thomas has a chance to discover the truth.

I'm not really sure how to react or what to write right now.The story was interesting at the beginning and it got me thinking that maybe this book will be amazing, but after ,when i started reading about how Charlotte's dreams and Thomas's powers..Well,let's just say that i was a little dissapointed.
Seriously,it was too strange and too forced. And everything happened too fast.Or at least that's how i saw it.

Thomas-i liked Thomas at the beginning. He was the type of character who thought that he couldn't fit in,but he never realized that it wasn't his fault. There were moments when he made me feel like in a way he was hiding something, but step by step i started to understand him. There were a lot of time when he made stupid mistakes and i was a little angry ,but considering all that was happening ,i guess, it was okay for him to do mistakes.
Charlotte?Well,i kind of disliked that girl for a while.Mainly, because all the times she was doing things that put Thomas in a bad ligh..But her faith in him? That was the best thing.Like Thomas,Charlotte made a lot of mistakes and it was strange to read how easy she was accepting everything.

Many upside downs and full of surprises. This book wasn't exactly like i expected and i really thought that it will be something incredible. But,i hope that we'll get the chance to read more..This can't be the end.
