Review:The Girl's Got Secrets (Forbidden Men, #7) by Linda Kage

Here’s the same old “girl posing as a boy” story but with a rock-n-roll twist.

Remy Curran dreams of one day being in a band, except the group she wants to join refuses to hire a girl drummer. So, she auditions as a guy...and makes the cut.

Becoming “Sticks,” a member of Non-Castrato, isn’t quite what she dreamed it would be, though. She spends most of her time keeping up the subterfuge and learning how to walk, talk, act, and drink like a man.

But what’s even harder to deal with is acting oblivious when the band’s heartthrob lead singer, Asher Hart, treats her like one of the guys and not a woman. She never imagined he’d be so much more than a pretty face with a nice voice. But he’s better than perfect. He’s perfect for her.

When love and lies combine, Remy must keep up the act or lose everything. But who knew lying to reach one dream could prevent you from attaining an even bigger dream?

Review:

Well,it seems that it took me a little while to finish this book and i'm not sure why.Not because i don't like Asher ,but maybe because this story wasn't exactly like the other ones in this series.

In The Girl's Got Secret i got the chance to read more about Asher and what happened when he was younger, but at the same time i got the chance to see how step by step he started to undersand what it meant to be loved by someone or to love someone.Since he wasn't the only main character,we get the chance to read about Remy Curran,a girl whose wish was to became a part of a band as a drummer, but being denied that because she was a girl. The best part?Being stubborn and hell bent on showing everyone she was good enough,Remy did something that nobody expected.

Asher wasn't exactly like i expected him to be.Yeah,i've read about him in the other books, but now that i know his story my opinion about him changed completely. He was funny, sweet and very different .
And Remy? She surprised me a lot by doing everything she could to show the boys from the Non-Castrato band that she was the best drummer, even if the way she showed them that was completely different.I admit that it was an excelent idea, but too bad that she had to lie so much.
What i loved about this book?I loved the fact that everyone from the Forbidden Men series was involved in a way. That was the best thing that could happen, especially after i found out the truth about Pick and Asher..Oh my!

This book had many ups and downs, but it had so many good moments, especially :Pick and Eva's wedding,Asher forgiving Remy..And more.

It was fun,but i admit that i wanted this book to be funny and intense like the other ones.

Review:Worth It (Forbidden Men #6) by Linda Kage

I fell in love once.

It was amazing. She was amazing. Life was amazing.

I lived for each time I could see her, and nothing else mattered, not that our families were enemies, our time together was forbidden, or we had to meet in secret.

Our love could conquer all.

Until it didn't.

So I was ripped away from the love of my life and shoved into hell, forced to continue without her.

It shattered me, broke the best parts of me, left me permanently damaged.

Or so I thought.

Years later, I swear history’s trying to repeat itself because she’s back in my life, and I’m just as drawn to her as I was before. But I'm older and wiser now, and I know she should stay away from a worthless ex-con like me.

So, I will not let her in. I absolutely refuse to hurt her. I will keep her away.

Then again, sometimes risking your greatest fear to get to a smile makes everything worth it, and besides, I’m not sure I can resist her, anyway.

This is the story of how Felicity Bainbridge changed my life forever, starting one summer day long ago after I was forced to change a dirty diaper...

--Knox Parker

Review:

“No matter what happens tonight, don’t ever change, okay? You are fun and sweet and amazing just the way you are. You make the world a better place because you always find the bright side. You are the bright side. And if I’m ever going to make it through this, I need to know you’re out there, still glowing and making the world bright.”

After reading the description for book the Worth It i started wondering why this book wasn't about someone i knew-why it wasn't about one of the guys from the group, but now i know why and honestly,i'm glad that i got the chance to read Knox's story.

Heartbreaking and at the same time beautiful,Worth It was a book full of ups and downs, full of beautiful and sad moments, but mainly a book about true love and what was capable to do a man who was in love.It was a book about sacrifice and lies, betrayal and hatred. But,at some point it was a book about two people who fell in love and had to go through hell in order for them to find each other again.

Know Arrow Parker's life changed when he met Felicity Bainbridge. He was happy and  in love, finally with someone who could understand him and someone who acted like he meant everything for her..But ,it turns out that he fell in love with the wrong girl-the daughter of his enemy.Truth ?Even that couldn't stop him.Until everyone finds out the truth and Knox was locked in prison for something he didn't do.

Felicity Bainbridge was different from her family. She knew that what they were doing to the Parker family was wrong, but she couldn't do anything.Until Know.Until he met him and finaly realized that he wasn't that bad.But falling in love with him was something her family never thought that will happen.

Six years later the unthinkable happens:Felicity and Knox, both are working in the Frobidden Club.

“I have no idea why you tried so hard to save me,” I murmured into her hair. “But I’ll be forever grateful you did.”
Smiling at me, she just said, “It’s because you’re worth it.”

Surprised?Heck yes. Why?Because i loved the fact that i could read what happened in the past with Knox and Felicity. It was amazing ,even if it broke my heart what i've read about them when they were younger.I admit that i hated Felicity's family with all my heart, but i gotta admit that Knox's family wasn't better,so i guess neither of them are my favorite. But it turns out that both Felicity and Knox were different-in a good way!ANd of course ..Perfect for each other.

“I don’t know who I am anymore. But I know I still love you. I always have, and I always will.”

Knox changed so much after spending time in prison. He was a different person and i could see the difference because of those chapters from the past. Now he was quiet and dangerous, someone who thought that he couldn't be close to anyone because he could hurt someone, but the truth is:he wasn't like that.He was still the same loving Knox who wouldn't dare hurt someone.Well,he punched Ten..Heck,i laughed out loud then, even if Ten didn't deserve that. But it was hilarious.Haha!Still,i liked him and i hated that he had to go through so many ugly things.Ugh!I want to punch someone.

“I’ve never loved anyone the way I love you. I’ve tried. Believe me, I tried so hard to get over you. I tried to move on... But all I ever thought about was you.”

And Felicity?Dang it ,girl.I love her.Because she didn't gave up and because she was so damn strong.Yeah, there were moments when i didn't know what to think about what was happening in her head, but i got used to her and her way of thinking.Sweet and stubborn,Felicity made me realize that when you want something you have to fight for it,to be strong enough to show everyone that you can't give up.

“We’ve never really been apart. From the moment you bumped into me in those woods, we’ve belonged to each other … I don’t care if we’ve grown up. We’re still Knox and City at the core, and we’ll always love each other. You know why?” I leaned in to whisper … “Because we don’t know how to stop.”

And Pick Jason Ryan? That guy was the best!He knew damn well what he had to do for Knox and he did everything he could. And let's just say that he got some major points for everything.
Well, heck, those scenes when Knox took care of Skylar and Julian?Made me swoon!Because he was so freaking adorable. If you want to know why, read the book ASAP!
Even if he wasn't a part of those first books in this series,Knox Parker belonged with everyone else.Becoming a bartender at the Forbidden Club with the other characters made me see him as someone who really meant to be there with Noel,Ten,Pick,Mason and Asher..

Oh..Oh!I almost forgot:What the heck was with that Epilogue?Seriously?I still can't believe and even if i don't know what will happen next,i really hope that it's true!Seriously.I really want that to be true..Like right now.Pretty please!?

Review:A Perfect Ten (Forbidden Men, #5) by Linda Kage

Let your hair down, Caroline, they said. It'll be fun, they said.

I know I've closed myself off in a major way over the past year, ever since “the incident” where I messed up my life completely. It's past time I try to live again or just give up altogether. But this is quite possibly the craziest thing I've ever done. In a last ditch effort to invigorate myself, I'm standing outside Oren Tenning's bedroom, I just peeled off the sexiest pair of underwear I own, and my hand is already raised to knock. My brother would disown me for doing anything with his best friend, and he'd probably kill Oren. But if I play my cards right, no one will ever know about this. Not even Ten.

Maybe after tonight, I’ll finally get over this stupid, irrational crush I hate having on the biggest jerk I’ve ever met. Or maybe I’ll just end up falling for him even harder. Maybe I’ll discover there’s so much more to my crude, carefree hunk than meets the eye.

Review:

<“I was supposed to go with you, wherever you went. We’re a team. You told me once that I had to have a place. Well, I finally figured out where it is. It’s with you.”

It seems like i can't stop myself from reading this books!I mean ,here i am again writing the review for another book from the  Forbidden Men series.Well,i loved those characters and i want to know all their story.More then that i wanted to read Ten and Caroline's story.Yeah, well, who would have thought that a guy like Ten will get such an amazing story?I did.

The first time when i've read about Ten was in the book To Professor ,With Love,he was the crazy one,the one who made everyone laugh and the one who acted like it was okay to be a man-whore.But,in a way, that was a facade.Something to keep off the attention.Something to show everyone that the truth about his life wasn't interesting.Even if he was the best things that could happen to someone.
Despite the whole things with sleeping with a lot of women,Ten was the kind of friend that was always there helping, showing everyone that he can be trusted. And he made me laugh so much.

But meeting Caroline Gamble changed him completely. And it was fun reading how Ten changed..Or how their life transformed in something more .
Caroline's life turned upside down when she lost her baby-something that she didn't want, but when she had done that she was a teenager and scared out of her mind. After moving in with her brother in Ellamore,Caroline never thought that she was going to be happy again.Until Ten.

“So this is my Pathetic Loser’s confession: I am Oren Tenning, and I have fallen. Hard.”

Man-whore or not,i loved Oren Tennings a lot!He wasn't like everyone thought and once i got the chance to read more about the real Ten,well, let's just say that i can't get him out of my damn mind.Sweet, charming, funny and a good friend,Ten fought very hard to do what his best friend asked him to do:stay away from Caroline. But that wasn't something easy. Not at all.
Thank God,Caroline turned up to be more stubborn then her brother.

Something that made the fact that they were perfect for each other:Caroline's attitude matched Ten's.They were exactly the same in that department. The only that was different, was the fact that Ten liked sleeping with a lot of women.Bad,Ten!Bad.But i know why he turned up like that.I know the reason why.And i guess it was enough.

''That’s the curious thing about temptation. It festers and grows. You feed that bitch enough and she morphs into craving, and then craving turns into obsession. Pretty soon, nothing in your life is as important as that one thing you want but can’t have.''

I won't write about those intense scenes between Ten and Caroline-they were perfect for each other and that's the only thing that matter. But i laughed out loud every time they were arguing and acted like they can't stand each other. It was fun!I couldn't stop smiling every time they were together.Heck, sweet and fun.Yeah, yeah,i know i shouldn't write that Ten was sweet, but he had his moments.
But..Like always ,like in all the stories, something had to happen.Something bad, something that at some point made me believe that everything will never be the same. Why?Because Noel freaking Gamble was too stubborn to see what was happening right in front of him.Hmm,well ,now i wonder why i liked Noel when i've read his story?Yeah,i hated that everyone was lying and that Noel couldn't understand everyone, but c'mon! At least, everything settled down, even if something incredible wrong had to happen in order for something good to happen.Ugh!

''I was addicted to this girl.I wasn't anywhere near ready to give her up.''

Can i just say that even Noel couldn't stop what was happening?Yay!Again,i loved reading about everyone.Step by step i get the chance to read more about my favorite characters and i can see how much they changed and evolve. It's fun to keep up with everything. And in this book?Well, everyone got the chance to have fun, especially when it came to tease Ten or help him with Caroline.

Review:With Every Heartbeat (Forbidden Men, #4) by Linda Kage

I used to think everything was black and white, truth or lie, easy or hard, that if I could just escape my strict, overbearing, abusive father, my life would be perfect. But since I’ve found a reason to risk his wrath and leave, to help a friend in need, I’ve come to realize everything I thought I knew is wrong.

Friends have their own agenda, honesty comes with a dosage of lie, easy doesn’t even exist, keeping secrets sucks, and love...love is the most painful thing of all.

Maybe if Quinn Hamilton hadn’t asked me to skip classes for the day and help him pick out an engagement ring for my best friend, I wouldn’t have fallen for him so completely on that sunny Tuesday afternoon and I wouldn’t feel so conflicted. But I did, and I can’t take it back, no matter how hard I try. So I have to deal with the fact that even I’m not as good, or honest, or caring as I’d always thought I was, and no matter what I do next, someone’s going to get hurt. Probably me.

-Zoey Blakeland

Review:

“I knew exactly why I shouldn’t be her friend. This was no mere attraction. What I suffered from was total, debilitating awareness. Every freaking inch of me tuned in to her.”

If i keep reading books like this one ,i'm pretty sure that i'll have to admit every single time that i've fall in love with too many male characters. Is it possible?Heck yes. But,well,it isn't my fault..I swear!
Since i've read about Quinn Hamilton in To Professor ,with love and Be my hero  i wanted to read his story.I was really curious, mainly because he was the type of character that makes you think that there is more to him and that maybe he will show you things that you never imagined you'll know about him.And it was exactly like that.
Step by step i was completely caught up in Quinn's story. The way it started, the way everything happened..Well,it blew my mind. But ,i got to admit that i laughed out loud a lot while i've read this book.I couldn't stop myself.

The difference between this books and the others, was the fact that Quinn was a little diffrent,or maybe that's how i saw him.Being the shy one,the good and always the one who was there when someone needed his help,Quinn's life was a little turned upside down, mainly because he was dating a girl who didn't deserve him. That until Zoey.
Zoey's reason for moving in Ellamore helped her escape from her home, escape from a place where she was abused by her father. But step by step, her feelings for Quinn transform into something more, even if she knows she can't have him.
Both Zoey and Quinn were the type of people whom never imagined betraying someone or doing something wrong. Both shy and a little naive, but the kind of people who loved with a fierce passion and they were perfect for each other. But,there was Cora,Quinn's girlfriend, who made everything difficult.

”I had a major crush on my best friend’s boyfriend. For some reason- probably complete denial – I hadn’t understood before why my body reacted every time he was around … or even whenever his name was mentioned.”

Quinn Hamilton-the perfect gentleman and the kind of friend everyone wants, made my heart race and ,of course a few times, break. He was perfect in every single way-but being naive isn't the best thing for him.I liked him and i enjoyed reading about him.It was fun,but i hated the fact that he was so blind. At least he was charming ,sweet and handsome, right?I admit ,i admit!I loved those scenes when the guys teased him.He was adorable when was blushing and acting shy.It made me laugh.I loved him because he was always trying to do everything good, always worried about his friends, always trying to help..

''Zoey might just know more about me than any other living person on the planet. She was my confidante and a friend.''

But i loved that at least the female character was exactly the same.Shy,beautiful and a good friend. That's how i would describe Zoey Blakeland .Her only weakness was being too good to those who don't deserve.Like Cora.In a way,Zoey had her moments when she was a little crazy, mainly when she was near Ten.Oh my,i laughed a lot because of them, and i admit that it was a little weird how easy Zoey and Ten accepted each other. The best part? Her and Quinn.

"Don't be ashamed of being a big soft teddy bear, Ham. The world needs more people like you otherwise i just go to shit."

Like always,a lot of things happened in this book!Still trying to process everything, but i can honestly say that it was pretty much amazing, despite a few heartbreaking moments. And sometimes i wished that Quinn and Zoey weren't so damn shy!Oh well,it was worth it after all.

Now when i think back at what i've read in this book i remember all those crazy moments when i laughed out loud ..but,let me tell you something:Somehow Ten was always there making everything better or awkward,he was crazy and i can't wait to read his story! But i loved the fact that all the characters from the other books in this series were present.
Even if there was a lot of drama, because of Cora(i hate her!),the story was beautiful.

Review:Be My Hero (Forbidden Men #3) by Linda Kage

Once upon a time, there was this pampered rich girl who was kind of full of herself. She really only cared about appearances and hiding all her dark, ugly secrets under the guise of an opinionated snob. But then Eva Mercer got pregnant, shot by a psycho, and kicked out of the only home she knew. Now she’s broke, unemployed, and has to start anew with a newborn to raise. But how?

On the other side of town, sexy, tattooed orphan, Patrick Ryan, can’t get a break. He’s out on parole for defending the last damsel in distress while trying to help her support her child, but all he wants is to find his one true love. He knows this woman by scent, smile, and laugh, but he’s never actually met her. He doesn’t even know her name. He just knows she’s the key to fixing everything.

One kind of hero can save you from physical harm. Another can rescue you from a different kind of doom. To reach their dreams, Eva and Pick can save each other. But first, they must open their hearts and learn how to trust.

Review:

“You don't even know what your mere presence does to me. You're my sanity.”

Once again i'm honestly shocked ,in a good way, about what i've read in this book. It was pretty much perfect and beautiful ,even if a lot of crazy things happened in this book.
I admit that i'm still trying to process everything, but i won't deny the fact that the end of this book made me cry a little.
Be my hero was rollercoaster of events :some were funny, others were sad,but this was the kind of book that made my smile a lot. Despite those sad moments ,i was constantly trying to remember all the good things that were happening to the main characters.
In the first books ,Price of a kiss and To professor ,with love  , we got the chance to meet for the first time Eva Mercer and Patrick Jason Ryan, but in  Be my hero,we get the chance to read a beautiful story about two people whose path cross and changes them completely. It transforms them in two incredible people who finally got the chance to understand how it feels to be loved.

”You make me so happy,” I murmured in awe.”
“That’s the plan, Tink.”

This book..It was full of surprises.Between what was happening with Eva and Pick(Yeah, that's Patrick),i was soo happy that i could read about Mason and Reese too,and ,of course, i didn't forget  about Noel,Aspen,Quinn and Ten. But ,i admit that all my attention was on Eva and Pick.Crazy as it sounds, despite all those things that happened i loved their story. It was funny, romantic, sad, happy and full of love.

Eva Mercer wasn't one of my favorite characters in Price of A Kiss ,but everything changed from the moment she got pregnant. I swear that it was an miracle the way she completely changed. And i'm really glad that that happened. I'm not sure if i could've read a book about her if she was the same girl she was in Price of A Kiss. But she was different in this book. I got the chance to see another part of her and it made me like her . With each chapter written from her point of view i started to understand her more-why she was acting like a lunatic in Price of a Kiss and how suddenly she changed after she was kicked out of her parents house because she was pregnant. She was diferent and i'm really glad.

"You have given me things I never even knew I needed or wanted, but they've ended up being the most precious things I've ever had."

Who would have thought that the one who would make Eva Mercer fall in love, will be exactly the one guy who knew that he had to do everything in his power to protect a girl from his past..who also had a child.Even if that meant he had to sacrifice his own happiness. Heck,Pick managed to surprise  me a lot. Despite being handsome, charming and a real gentleman,Pick was the kind of guy you could trust anytime. Now more than ever i understand why he was so fascinated with Eva..And i have to say that i agree. A lot. He wasn't like i thought and i liked him ever more because of the way he was taking care of a child, even if he wasn't the father. Warm and fuzzy! Uh-huh.

"You know how you keep saying I was your hero and I saved you...? That's bullshit. You're my hero. Meeting you in those glimpses saved me. It made me want to be a good person so I could deserve you when I finally found you. And now that you're here, holding me and letting me love you when I just want to implode from the inside out . . . " He buried his face in my hair and inhaled deeply. "You don't even know what your mere presence does to me. You're my sanity."

Rollercoaster of emotion..Yeah,well,Pick and Eva's story was full of ups and downs. Full of beautiful moments, but ,unefortunetaly, there were a lot of bad moments too. But at least now - i mean, after i've read the end of the book,i know that both Eva and Mason could live in peace without wondering if the nightmares from their past will keep coming back. And that was the best scenes that could have happen in this book.
I liked reading  this story, even if sometimes i wanted to shake some sense into Eva and Pick. And i enoyed reading about the club Forbidden where the guys were working, the place where Eva and Pick finally met.

Review:To Professor, with Love (Forbidden Men #2) by Linda Kage

Junior in college. Star athlete. Constant attention from the opposite sex.

On this campus, I'm worshiped. While seven hundred miles away, back in my hometown, I'm still trailer park trash, child of the town tramp, and older sibling to three kids who are counting on me to keep my shit together so I can take them away from the same crappy life I grew up in.

These two opposing sides of myself never mix until one person gets a glimpse of the true me. I never expected to connect with anyone like this or want more beyond one night. This may be the real deal.

Problem is Dr. Kavanagh's my literature professor.

If I start anything with a teacher and we're caught together, I might as well kiss my entire future goodbye, as well as my family's and especially Dr. Kavanagh's. Except sometimes love is worth risking everything. Or at least, it damn well better be, because I can only resist so much.

Review:

“It's always the one you shouldn't want that you end up wanting the most”

Being that this isn't the first book with a student-professor forbidden relationship that i've read so far,i can admit (Honestly!!!) that i couldn't stop reading this book! And i swear that when i first saw that description my reaction was like this: I must read this ASAP!
I'm not sure why i'm tempted to read books with this kind of story, but i'm addicted to them.Maybe because i always end up feeling like everything is possible and ,of course, the fact that all those book have an interesting story-crazy,full of surprises, hot characters, forbidden relationship and,of course, complicated past/present. But i can't ignore them!I can't and i won't.

To professor, with love made me smile a lot,a smile i couldn't wipe off my face the entire time i've read the book-the smile vanished only when something bad happend. There were moments when i wanted to laugh out loud, because the main characters where funny, but also they were very stubborn, which made me want to strangle them a lot. But,unfortunately, that feeling dissapeared quickly, because step by step everything transformed into something beautiful.

This isn't the first book written by Linda that i got the chance to read,so i can admit that still she managed to surprise me.The book was so good, despite all the crazy things that happened. Each chapter was unique and i am soo glad that i got the chance to read the book from Noel and Aspen's point of view.
And ,i admit right now,i was soo suprised when i got the chance to read again about two favorite characters of mine from the first book!Yay!!

"He wasn't supposed to reach into my soul and get a handhold of my heart or squeeze these feelings out of me, exactly as he'd just done. No one should be able to do that in eight double-spaced pages. But he had."

To professor, with love is the story of two completely different people who never thought that something huge will happen between them.Being that one of them is a student and the other one is a professor, everything is complicated from the beginning. But everything starts with a bad grade ,from there step by step the whole story starts to unfold.

Crazy as it sounds, this story from the beginning allowed me to imagine step by step a lot of different scenes of how it could end or what could happen, but at some point i shaked my head and started reading it faster so i could really know what actually happened.
In this book we met Aspen Kavanagh and Noel Gamble. Two stubborn people whose life change completely and becomes something beautiful, but there are a few things that complicates everything for them:student and professor, the need to help his family and the need to show her family that she wasn't like them.Yeah, well, like i said it was complicated.

"I wanted you to look at me and see the success I wanted to be. Not the failure I knew I was."

Noel Gamble-well,my opinion about Noel changed step by step. With every chapter from his point of view i started seeing the real Noel and not the guy everyone knew at that school. It was fun reading about him.Mainly, because he was handsome and charming, but he was the kind of guy that showed everyone that he wasn't a dumb jock who cared only about football.
There were a lot of scenes when i was trying really hard to understand what was happening in Noel's head.Sometimes he surprised me and it wasn't really hard for me to change my opinion completely about him.So ,yeah,i liked him.A lot.

''We were split between two worlds. She was the frumpy, genius professor hiding romantic hopes and dreams. I was the stud playboy football star working my ass off to save my poor, broke family. What a pair we made.''

Honestly,at the beginning i didn't know what to think of Aspen. She was the professor and she acted like she was someone soo important, but step by step i started to read more and more about her,i started to understand her more and i started to understand why she acted like that. But i liked her more when she wasn't acting like a professor.Yeah, she didn't know how to have fun,but i loved how everything changed after her relationship with Noel progressed. And,what i have to add:She was a bookworm.

“You. Are. Mine... I don’t care how wrong we are for each other. I don’t care that I’ll never be good enough for you or that we’re risking everything to be together... Fuck it all. You are fucking mine. And I’m yours. And we belong together.”

There were a lot of surprises and a lot of crazy moments.I swear, between what was happening with Aspen/Noel thing and reading about the place where Noel was working, the Forbidden club,i was constantly trying not to jump up and down. The whole idea was perfect.
I knew that i won't be dissapointed.Yeah ,the starting was a little strange, but from there it got better and better. And i really liked what i've read.

There were a lot of characters that i liked in this book.Well, that doesn't surprise me at all.The story wouldn't have been the same without them.Esspecially, without Ten.That guy was crazy, but he was Noel's best friend after all.

The end of the book? The best.

Review:Price of a Kiss (Forbidden Men #1) by Linda Kage

I don’t care what my cousin says; I am not the queen of impossible relationships. I mean, just because my last boyfriend tried to kill me and left a bit of a scar on my neck, then forced me to move across the country and legally change my name to Reese Randall to escape him, does not mean—

Oh, who am I kidding? For a freshman in college, I have to have the worst dating track record ever.

It’s no wonder love is the last thing on my mind when Mason Lowe enters my life. But the chemistry between us is like bam! Our connection defies logic. And he’s just so freaking hot. Being around him makes me feel more alive than I’ve ever felt before. I even like bickering with him. He could be my soul mate...except for one teeny tiny glitch.

He's a gigolo.

Boy, do I know how to pick them.

Review:

“You’re the warm sun that shines when everything else is dark,”

Price of a Kiss was a big surprise for me.It was the kind of book that has everything i love to read about in books from the New Adult category:A bad past,a forbidden relationship, true love, two hot characters and a very good ending! But between those things? Many ups and downs and impossible scenes that drove me crazy.Huh.

The main reason why i loved the book?Because it made me laugh, smile like crazy,it made me sad and it made me want to shout out loud that some things weren't fair at all.Well,it seems that right now i'm glad that my desire to shout out loud is something that i can control,or else everyone right would've thought that i'm crazy..Yikes!

“You’re the warm sun that shines when everything else is dark,” he went on, lifting his hands to rest them on the wall on either side of my face. “A smile and a hug in a roomful of disapproval. You’re…” Wincing, he pressed his forehead against mine. “You’re everything.”

Price of a Kiss wasn't a simple story about two people who met and just like that it was simple.Nope.Not at all.And that's what i loved the most.I can't say that every day i find books that made me want to laugh and cry at the same time.

Reese Randall ran away from her past or at least that's what she tried to do when she moved away from her home. But leaving everything in the past wasn't easy at all.And the reminder of what happened there was imprinted on the back of her neck. But everything changes step by step when she starts babysitting Mason Lowe's baby sister.Good God,that girl made me laugh and so many times i was shocked because she was so strong.Funny, beautiful and loyal,Reese made me believe that some things are worth fighting for.Even if a few time she acted like a lunatic.Huh.

At least she had a good reason why to fight and forget the past.

“You might not have charged me a fee, but kissing you is too big of a price for me. I didn’t sign up for this. Now let me go.”

Mason Lowe's reputation was the first thing that i wished that could change ASAP!Don't get me wrong,i understand the reasons why he became a gigolo, but trust me when i say that the end of the book made me the happiest girl alive.Huh,too much?Yup.Funny, charming and handsome,Mason managed to win my heart, despite his reputation. But,i admit that i enjoyed reading about him.He was sweet and a good friend, even if i loved the book even more after his relationship with Reese changed completely.

“I will find work wherever I am. But I won't find another you.”

Honestly, this book ,like i said above,it was a surprise for me.A good surprise.
There were a few characters that i liked and a few that i wanted to strangle with my hands.I won't write about them, because after all that happened in this book those characters got what they deserved.
Mason and Reese's relationship tranformed a lot on this book. From being rude to each other they became friends, and than..Well,let's just say that the next step made them fight for what they wanted, even if that meant for them to confront the past.

Review:

I didn't have to think twice about reading this book.I've read the description and i thoughtthat i have to read it asap. And i got that chance .

Deal Breakers is about two friends-best friends-whose life change completely after they decide to spend one night together. One night that transformed them and made them realize that everything changed for them forever. But,what they never thought that it will happen was something that maybe will reunite them later.Maybe.

It was such a nice stories.Easy to read and beautiful, but i got to say that everything happened too fast and too easy. The characters were amazing and the story was writting okay, but ,honestly,i'm so used to reading this kind of stories, and i got to the point where i expect more from them.
So,i'm not saying all this things in a bad way..Don't get me wrong,i loved Riley and Devyn. The friendship between them is something that i wish i could have with someone. And what happen after,it was a little crazy and a little complicated, but at some point was okay with the fact that after everything Riley and Devyn knew each other so well and that something good will happen.

I laughed out loud.I mean,Riley was so full of himself and he was funny without trying .But,there was a point when i wanted to scream out loud that he was stupid(i didn't do that.. *sigh*).He was sweet and charming, when he wanted. At least when it came to Devyn,he was the best for her.
Devyn? She managed to surprise me a few times. And i liked her because she wasn't a drama queen. Her whole life turned upside down a few times, but that didn't bring her down.Strong.

I won't write much about this book because i'm not really sure what to write.A lot of things happened in this book, those things happened too fast ,something i didn't like. But at least it wasn't bad.The story was sweet and easy to read. And i'm pretty sure i've said that above.

Review:Breaking Him (Love is War #1) by R.K. Lilley

SCARLETT

It was the kind of relationship where I invested more than I had to spare.

I gave it everything.

And so when it failed, I lost myself.

It changed me. He changed me.

I went down with the ship.

My soul, burnt embers in the aftermath.

The fire of him ravaged it all.

He burned me.

Broke me.

Scarlett had always dreamed big. She was headed straight for Hollywood. Destined for silver screen greatness.

But in her wildest dreams she never imagined she’d be broke and single at twenty-eight, doling drinks at thirty-five thousand feet.

She was a glorified waitress in the skies.

It had been years since she’d seen him.

But one day, there he sat, gazing intently at her, ready to set everything ablaze once more.

Dante wanted her. Again.

Sure, she’d play along…but this time, it was his turn.

She was breaking him.

After all, love is war.

Review:

''Once upon a time,i'd been his angel.''

Can someone tell me what really just happened? What did i read?Oh,my!The book was crazy from the beginning and i tried so hard to keep up with what was happening, but i'm speechless.

So,the easy way to explain this book sounds like this:Imagine two people stubborn and hotheaded with a bad temper playing with each other, despite the fact that they love each other a lot. That love isn't enough because they have a bad past full of surprises and pain..But..Yeah,that word again! There is something huge happening between them ,something that they can't deny and something that it can't be ignored.

Honestly, when i started reading the book i didn't understand what was happening and why Scarlett was acting like woman who wanted to strangle someone-that someone being Dante, her ex.Yeah it was fun reading about how they were acting when they were together, but i admit that it was annoying sometimes.

Annoying or not, there were moments when i couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud. Both Scarlett and Dante were crazy.I swear!

“I wasn’t here to make love.  I was here to make war.”

Scarlett Throux tried so hard to get away from her old life,to escape her past, but everyone knows that that isn't possible.Running from her past and trying to forget everything,Scarlett is expecting an opportunity to became an actress..But,once again someone from her past comes back in her life and brings back memories.Memories full of happiness and pain.Memories of something that couldn't happen. It was fun reading about her because she was trying too hard to do some things and she was blinded by her bad temper...Well,those chapter written from past where the reason why i started to understand her more.

But,i still think that all the drama was too crazy .And the way everything happened was a little bit too much.

“Not this.  Not us.  Neither of us have a choice in this.  You and I being together is not a question, Scarlett, it’s a fact of life.”

And Dante? That guy was exactly like Scarlett. So i'm not surprised that they were in love.Imagine a male version of Scarlett, but with a few more secrets and reasons why to stay away. But,i kind of hated what was happening..Dante wasn't exactly like i thought. He wanted more and he tried to make Scarlett understand that. But there were moments when i didn't know what to believe anymore.
Yeah,it was fun reading how they were fighting each other. The words, the actions..It was crazy!
I loved reading those chapters from the past, about how Scarlett and Dante met,and how they friendship begin. Those chapters revealed a lot about them and it was interesting to read about young Scarlett.

”There is only one heart in this universe that calls to mine, and it does call. Constantly, relentlessly, it sings out to me in a captivating, resonating voice. Day after day, year after year, it calls to me. But I won’t listen to it. It belongs to a liar.”

There things i still can't understand and some scenes were intense, but what was clearly obvious was the fact that something huge happened with Dante and Scarlett, something that made them both run away from each other.

It seems that there were many ups and downs.Crazy family members and too many secrets. But i liked both Dante and Scarlett. They were perfect for each, even if the end made me want to shake some sens in them.Seriously! Why!?What happened so bad between them? Why they where trying to hurt each other so bad?So many questions..And now i have to wait until the next book.

Review:Three (Love by Numbers #3) by E.S. Carter

I am a son.
I am a brother.
I am an artist.
I am a student.
I am her student.

She was my first.
First infatuation, first ‘real’ kiss, first love, first.....
heartbreak.

I gave her everything, including my body and would have given her more.
I gave her ‘I love you’ ….she told me her heart was filled by another, there was no room left for me.

We could never be.
What we did was wrong.
It didn’t feel wrong to me.

The deepest hurt is a love that you cannot have. It will last the longest, cut the deepest and feel the strongest.
It is an imperfect love; a disfigured circle that never ends.
You cannot control it; it's as simple as blinking and just like blinking the more you try to stop it, the more the pain consumes you.

This is book 3 in the 'Love by Numbers' series.
Although it contains characters from the previous books, it can be read as a standalone

Review:

''I am a son.
I am a brother.
I am an artist.
I am a student.
I am her student.''

Before i start writing my review about this book,i have to confess the fact that i didn't read the first books in this series,Ninteen and Twenty-one,but when i've read this books description i saw the fact that it can be read as a standalone. And i wanted to read it.

The story was sweet and easy to read.I enjoyed reading everything from the beginning until the end,but i have to confess that if i get the chance to read Jake's and Emma's story,i'll do it in a second.
Well,to explain things better:Nineteen and Twenty-one are Emma's and Jake's stories,and Three is about Liam Fox,Jake's brother.

What happened in this book was a little complicated, but at the same time it was beautifull and full of surprises. But what surprised me the most was the fact that this book was written from Liam's point of view and Cari's point of view. Two characters whose life was turned upside down, but somehow manage to reunite. There is one problem ,cause after all Cari and Liam's past isn't pretty.

“Love; just a four letter word that is easy to spell yet impossible to define.
I may need her to prove I'm worthy of fighting for, but for her, I'm all set to go to war.”

Liam Fox-Williams is the kind of man every woman deserves.Charming, handsome and pretty much perfect, but at the beginning of this book we get to meet the broken hearted Liam.I loved how everything changed step by step, how Liam changed and showed what kind of man he was.He was fun and in every single chapter he proved that his love for Cari was more than everyone thought.

Cari Pritchard-well,i admit that her insecurities annoyed me a little, but step by step i started to understand her more and more.I knew what she was protecting and why she was trying to give Liam a chance to have a normal life, but after everything that happened i'm glad that everything changed.
She was an awesome character.Strong and determined.
And Seren?Cari's sister was the reason why everything changed twice.Once in a bad way,and the second time in a good way,

It was fun reading about Liam's family. There were hilarious and made me laugh so many times.A lot of funny moments and it wasn't a surprise the fact that he had such an suportive family. They were amazing and made everything better.

The whole story was beautiful and full of surprises, even if there were a few things that made me believe that maybe something bad would happen, but lucky me this time everything was simple and easy to read.

Quotes(#107)

“I want to wake up with you every morning and fall asleep beside you each night,” Patch told me gravely. “I want to take care of you, cherish you, and love you in a way no other man ever could. I want to spoil you — every kiss, every touch, every thought, they all belong to you. I’ll make you happy. Every day, I’ll make you happy.”

Review:The Winner's Curse (The Winner's Trilogy #1) by Marie Rutkoski

Winning what you want may cost you everything you love...

As a general’s daughter in a vast empire that revels in war and enslaves those it conquers, seventeen-year-old Kestrel has two choices: she can join the military or get married. But Kestrel has other intentions.

One day, she is startled to find a kindred spirit in a young slave up for auction. Arin’s eyes seem to defy everything and everyone. Following her instinct, Kestrel buys him—with unexpected consequences. It’s not long before she has to hide her growing love for Arin.

But he, too, has a secret, and Kestrel quickly learns that the price she paid for a fellow human is much higher than she ever could have imagined.

Set in a richly imagined new world, The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski is a story of deadly games where everything is at stake, and the gamble is whether you will keep your head or lose your heart.

Review:

“Isn't that what stories do, make real things fake, and fake things real?''

Finally, after reading the description again,i decided to give this book a chance.Don't ask why i waited until now,but i guess i had a feeling that maybe  i have to postpone it a little. And now?Well,i was curious..so.
But,let's just say that it wasn't exaclty like i expected .
The story ,they way it started and how everything happened step by step made me believe that something incredible coud happen, but at some point i accepted the fact that this won't be like i expected. It was incredible, but in a small dose and everything was complicated. What i liked was the fact that this story was written from two characters point of view.It helped me understand more about what was happening and what both sides where thinking.

Kestrel never thought that her life could change in one second. But it did ,after she buys a slave from the auction. From that moment everything changes step by step until the moment when Kestrel realized that she made a mistake.
But Kestrel's world wasn't easy at all.
In this book there were Herrani and Valorians people. The Herrani became slaves after the Valorians conquered their lands.
You want to know what i hated the most about this book? The fact that there were slaves.Herrani slaves.I do not agree with that! And imagined my reaction after the slave bought by Kestrel manages to do the unthinkable.

Anyway..

“Arin smiled. It was a true smile, which let her know that all the others he had given her were not.”

I wish that i could say that i loved this book, but i can't.I wanted more action and i wanted Kestrel to be more badass.Well, that doesn't mean i disliked her..Huh.
Kestrel, despite her brilliant mind, was okay.I mean she was a fighter ,but  when i've read the first time the description i expected more from here.I'm a little dissapointed. But in a way she did everything she could to protect herself .To choose between joining the military or get married..Well,Kestrel had to choose one..But the end of the book?Made me think that maybe in the next book Kestrel will be different.

“My soul is yours", he said. "You know that it is.”

In every single book i read i always find an character that plays with my mind-confuses me and makes me wonder what the hell he/she was doing exactly. This time,i'm talking about Arin.At the beginning i didn't know what to think about Arin.He was the slave bought by Kestrel at the auction.Silent, but always alert.Hard to read.Until the moment when he starts to reveal a little about his plans. He was the only character i liked a lot, even if he was a slave..I liked to read how he was trying to hide his emotion ,or how he tried to protect Kestrel.

But despite my dissapointment in Kestrel,i loved the fact that they had something in common:music.Something that bound them together and made them happy.

There were a few characters that i liked:Jess and Ronan.I admit that Jess annoyed me at first ,but step by step i started to ignore that and i liked her because she was loyal to Kestrel. And Ronan?Even if i didn't read a lot about him,i got the impression that he would do anything for Kestrel. And he was charming.

“The snow fell on her, it fell on him, but Kestrel knew that no single flake could ever touch them both. She didn’t look back when he spoke again. “You don’t, Kestrel, even though the god of lies loves you.”

And imagine my reaction after something huge happen between the Herrani people and Valorians. The battles. The betrayal.Alot of ups and downs. But still, even that made me wish for more. But the end?Kestrel way of showing Arin that she didn't want the Herrani people dead or slaves again, broke my heart, because she agreed to something that it was't fair.

I admit that at some point i didn't know what to believe, whose side to choose or what to expect next.I wanted to know more and i hoped it to be good.It was,but not how i expected. But that doesn;t mean i won't read the next book..Nope.I will read the next book, because i want to know more.I want to see what will happen with Arin and Kestrel.Or with Jess and Ronan.
