The Fab Life by Mercy Amare- Blog Tour (Review)

Blurb
It’s the life I was born to live: billionaire’s daughters, living amongst the rich & famous. But my mom kept me a secret from my dad. Until now.

I am so out of my league. Fancy parties, expensive cars, and a private school for the elite… It sounds like a dream. But everything is not as perfect as it seems on the outside. Here, the secrets are dirty, and the lies comes easy.

Welcome to my fab life.

Review:

Kihanna Foster's life changes suddenly after her mother makes her move with her father, and then she is no longer a Foster but a Evers.Too many  things changed, too many new things in Kihanna's life. Can she survive that? Can she adapt to that life? The life she isn't used to-the life she has to live in order to get to know her father..

Well, this was something good.In a way it is a little weird to read about how a poor girl suddenly finds herself in the world of the rich people-like fairytail, but Kihanna is not Cinderella or any gother girl from a fairytail. She accepted to move in with her father because she wanted to know him,but what she finds there is not what she expected.

And then we meet Gabriel and Ty-two completely different boys who are best friends and whom are trying to win Kihanna's heart. Both have a chance-but just one has the ability to make her truly happy.
Honestly,i'm on Gabriel's side.I was on his side from the beginning.Despite his way of making Kihanna doubt Ty's feelings,i liked the way Gabriel acted after. He was sweet and charming, too bad his past was like that.

Between those boys and Kihanna trying to know her father,i have to admit that i couldn't believe how Kihanna's stepbrother acted.Yes,he was protective, but the rest?It wasn't how a brother should act.Wait.Stepbrother..I guess i always forget that.
And Kihanna's stepmother?I am not sure how to describe her..She wasn't my favorite but i guess she had her moments when i thought about her that she was good.

Too many things changed?Yes.Did Kihanna get the chance to know her father?A little.Living the life of a rich girl wasn't so bad,but missing her mother is what made Kihanna's life a little harder. And just when you think everything turned out better you something bad happens..

If ni had to choose between Ty and Gabriel i would choose Gabriel, even if he thought about himself that he didn't deserve to love again because of what happened in the past.Ty's reputation wasn't a good one-a bad boy?Yes.But not my type of bad boy,and i got the proof that he didn't deserve Kihanna's attention.

This book was good.I can asure you that.  I liked it,i liked the story and the characters.I liked the way the author wrote about Kihanna's life and the things that happened to her.It was pretty good.

Blog Tour: Waiting for the Storm by Marie Landry(Review)

Waiting for the Storm by Marie Landry
Publication date: April 9th 2013
Genre: YA Contemporary

Synopsis:

Charlotte O’Dell knows this summer is going to suck. Her beloved mother just died, her sister hates her, and her dad has completely checked out. Fulfilling her mother’s final wish, the family heads to Angel Island for the summer to stay in a beach house her mother once loved.

After a year of being shut away taking care of her mother, Charlotte is numb and practically afraid of her own shadow; she hopes going to the island will give her the time and space she needs to begin healing, and an opportunity to bring her family back together. When she meets her mysterious neighbor, Ezra, it doesn’t take long for Charlotte to confess the issues she’s developed. Ezra begins giving Charlotte assignments to get over her fears, and although she accepts his tasks, all she really wants is to be with him. When she’s with Ezra, she’s able to forget the hollow ache in her heart and the fact that her family is falling apart. But Ezra has secrets…

Can Charlotte pull what’s left of her family together, mend her broken heart, and allow herself to fall for Ezra? Or is it all just a storm waiting to happen?

Review:

When someone important to you dies, you know you will never be the same. When you took care of that person until his/hers last breath that is something you'll never forget. The memories remain and life goes on.That's what Charlotte O'Dell learned after one year of taking care of her sick mother.

Charlotte's life changed after she found out her mother was sick. She did everything she could to take care of her,but after one year her mother died.Charlotte and her family decide to fulfill her mother's last wish, something that turns out to be the best thing they could have done.

This one of those books who will make you want to know more-to know what will happen with Charlotte or her family. It wasn't easy and there were a lot of hard moments, but the way the author wrote about Charlotte's feeling -how she did everything she could help her father and sister, that she was strong enough to move on even if she was afraid of a lot of things. She was strong and that's why admired her the most.Painful, but that's how life works.

Charlotte was strong and i liked that,in a way i understand perfectly what she's been through, but when she met Ezra everything changed .And i really, really, really liked the way things turned out.It was perfect.Mainly because Ezra was such a nice guy and he was perfect for Charlotte.

Sometimes you need help to realize that what you're doing is wrong or good.Sometimes you have to let someone help you, someone who can open your eyes and make you believe that you've done everything you could and that you have to move on.That someone for Charlotte was Ezra.

This book was about a family whom are trying to recover after losing someone important.Step by step, but it wasn't easy. What i hated the most was how Ella treated Charlotte, like everything that happened was Charlotte's fault. And it wasn't.All Charlotte tried to do was help and because of her everything was better.

Honestly,i liked the book.I liked how Charlotte slowly started to heal,to have fun again-to live again.I liked the scene when Ella realized that she was wrong. And when Charlotte's father started to be a father again. But what i like the most was how Ezra and Charlotte were when they were together.Perfect.

This is a must read! You have to read this book!

The Waves (The Island #2)-Cover Reveal.

The first memory I have of my grandfather is of a moment that we share together.
I’m sitting on his knee looking out over the harbor. Grandpa is smoking a pipe. He points at the horizon. “Look, Walt. Our ships are out there. And one day, another even more beautiful ship will appear at the horizon. A mighty ship to take us all away. And Annabelle will be at the front deck with open arms, inviting us all to join her on board.”
“Why don’t we sail to her ourselves?” I inquire wide-eyed.
“Because she promised she would come,” granddad replies. “And in that promise we trust. It’s only the Unbelievers who think they can do everything themselves. They have no faith in the Goddess.”

Walt lives in Hope Harbor, an island community that has put its trust in salvation from across the sea. The townspeople wait patiently, build their ships to sail out and welcome the Goddess, and piously visit the temple every week. Horror stories to scare their children are told about the Unbelievers on the other side of Tresco.
But not all is what it seems. Walt has questions that no one can answer, and when his best friend and cousin Yorrick is killed in an accident, he digs deeper to find out the truth about the origins of Hope Harbor’s society… and the secrets of the temple.

Return to the world of The Island and discover what Walt's life was like before and after he met Leia!(less)

Ixeos Rebellion Book Blast & Blog Tour (Review)

iXEOS R copy

ixeos reb  Ixeos Rebellion With rebel leader Darian free at last, the humans and outsiders on Ixeos must find a way to join forces and defeat the Firsts. The problem? All slaves are tracked with GPS, the Firsts are the only ones with power, and roving gangs hate the rebels just as much as they hate the aliens. As Darian and the outsiders from Earth travel the globe through the mysterious tunnels in Paris, they learn that the Firsts are preparing to launch another wave of biological warfare. With a transporter that will allow the aliens to target any city, anywhere on the planet, the rebels know they must stop them at all costs. As things get more dangerous on Ixeos, the outsiders find that they're pushed to their limit. Will they fight for freedom, no matter the price?

Ixeos(Book I)
The McClellands are enjoying a lazy summer vacation at the beach when they are lured from our world into Ixeos, an alternate Earth. Finding themselves lost in a maze of tunnels under Paris and surrounded by strangers, they discover that they have been brought to Ixeos for one purpose: to take the planet back from humanoid aliens who have claimed it. With the aid of the tunnels and a mysterious man named Landon, the teens travel the world seeking the key that will allow them to free Darian, the long-imprisoned rebel leader. But the aliens aren't the only problem on Ixeos -- the McClellands have to deal with brutal gangs, desperate junkies, and a world without power, where all the technology is owned by the aliens, and where most of the population has been killed or enslaved. The worst part? There's no way home.

Review:

After they released Darian all they wanted to do was fight and win. They wanted to get their home back-they wanted to kill all the Firsts and live in peace again. But what if that isn't as easy as they thought?

Speechless again, like i was after i read the first book in this series.I liked Rebellion- i liked the fact that everything was much better and there was a lot of actions and new things. It wasn't something simple or boring. It was interesting and hard to ignore,an original idea. And that's something that in my opinion matters.

The fight-the way the humans reacted was exactly what the Firsts didn't expect. And it was prefect.
Hard decisions. Some happy moments and sad moments. And some things i can't believe that happened .
It was fun and i enjoyed reading about how they planned everything-especially how Marty reacted every time he had a new idea.Or when something important happened. It makes you think about how the world you live in is right now or how it could be if we where invaded by aliens.Something that i hope will never happen.

I could say that everything was perfect-but i can't.Mainly,because one character died and i didn't expect that.But the rest..yeah,like i said i am speechless!I didn't expect this!But i liked it.

Still Neahle,Marty and Clay are my favorites.Marty because he was brilliant.Neahle because she was stronger then she thought. And Clay because he was brave enough to help rescuing the kids. And more.I won't write everything. You'll know more after you read the book.

Darian-i expected him to have powers like Landon, but i guess he was different. But the fact that he didn't give up makes me believe that he was a good leader. He did everything he could to save the slaves, even if he had to make some hard decisions.

If i could i would write about all the characters, but that would take longer and i don't want to write more details about what happened in the book.
The difference between this book and the first one is that in Rebellion the humans are trying to get back their plannet by doing everything they can.A huge battle. An important one..But the end of the book? That was ..I'm not even sure what to write about that.Shock?Yeah.I still can't believe that.

Anyway,i recommand this book, and the first one in the series,to everyone!I liked it..So you have to give it a try.

Review:Giving you forever by Ashley Wilcox

Title:Giving You Forever - ARC (Advanced Reader Copy)
Author:Ashley Wilcox
Release date:June 19, 2013
Genre: Erotica
Age Group: Mature Adult

Book description:
From the moment Nolan Pratt walked into Alexa Arnold’s life everything was forever changed.  After a year of dating, the ring was on her finger, the house was purchased, and life was heading down Pleasantville Lane. Everything was perfect.
Or so they thought.
With help from his parent’s inheritance, Nolan takes on a new business adventure, utilizing all his free time.  What was once their life- carefree with minimal responsibilities, is no more. When Alexa starts to feel the pressure from school, wedding planning, and lack of help from Nolan, exhaustion kicks in and feelings get hurt, testing the strength of their relationship. But, if there is one thing that Nolan will never compromise, it’s Alexa’s happiness. There’s nothing Nolan Pratt won’t do to make sure Alexa is well taken care of, loved, and happy.
When Nolan’s past resurfaces- a past that Alexa didn’t know existed- will it all be too much?  Will Nolan’s devotion to Alexa’s happiness cost him their relationship and lose him the only thing that has ever mattered in his life?  Or will Nolan discover that his past doesn’t determine his future and he is worth the happiness he doesn’t think he deserves?

Review:
Since i read about Alexa and Nolan in "Planning On Forever" i admit that i was excited to read more about them.Yes,after i read that book i was a little dissapointed because i thought that everything happened too fast, but now after reading "Giving you forever" i can say that it was pretty good.
I won't write much because i'm not really sure what to write.

Reading about how Alexa and Nolan were trying to prepare the perfect wedding was interesting, but i guess there had to happen some bad things that could ruin that.I hated those moments because they were really hard and i didn't like that.

Alexa was the same sweet and beautiful girl who fell in love. She was happy  and that's what really mattered after all.But what if being happy wasn't enough? What if there was missing something?Between trying to prepare everything for the wedding and school,Alexa is having a hard time dealing with everything without Nolan.

Nolan-sexy ,charming and completely in love with Alexa, does everything  he can to be there for Alexa, but between his job and everything else,he has other things on his mind-things that won't let him live without guilt.
But once again Alexa manages to make him see that the present is more important than the past and that he had to forgive himself.

I liked their relationship-how they acted when they were together. It was fun, romantic and sweet,i admit that there were a few moments when everything was a little too intense and too much for my taste.Something common and something that happens in every single book i like.Yikes!
Heck,i have to admit that i kind of fell in love with Nolan.Despite everything he had on his mind, the way he took care of Alexa? That was incredible. And i'm not lying.
Everything-from the way the met in the first book and how they ended up here was good. They were perfect together. And i'm glad that everything turned out to be okay.

About the Author

Some may consider me a jack of all trades, but I consider myself well rounded.
I’ve waitressed, styled hair, answered phones and, most recently, worked full time as mom to my two beautiful little boys.
Then there was this book… Everyone and their brother started talking about this book series titled Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James.  I didn’t really pay attention to the craze at first, since I wasn’t a big reader- okay, I didn’t read at all.  But curiosity got the best of me, so I downloaded it to my kindle.
I was immediately hooked. I read the whole series in three days.  Yes, three books in three days.
I kept finding all these great books that I HAD to read (just ask my credit card!).
Then I started hearing voices. Voices that turned into stories; stories that were begging to get out of my head.
I started writing them down on scraps of paper. Then I transferred them to my computer. Before I knew it,  Planning on Forever was born.
The voices in my head are still talking, so I’m still writing.

Book Description:
Two words sum up my summer in paradise: Evan Ashford.

I have a life back home I must return to, though my heart battles this reality. What started as a carefree summer fling has become so much more. Evan has become so much more. He’s become everything. Cupping his face, I stare into his deep blue eyes, wanting to lose myself once more... needing to know he feels this too.

Although our connection won’t stop the summer’s end from rushing toward us or silence the demons Evan battles, I have faith our love can overcome the obstacles that will undoubtedly arise from us choosing to be together. I still worry… Will our good intentions be good enough? But I’m all in, willing to take the risk, knowing he can destroy my heart if I’m wrong.

Like a riptide, I was forever changed by one woman: Mallory Wray.

Our eyes meet and we spend a moment looking into the others’, reading the fear and the love that mingles within. I move slowly down and kiss her forehead, her nose, her eyelids, her cheeks, and her chin before I kiss her lips again—soft and gentle, not rushed, but sensual. She smiles and I die inside knowing that I won’t get to see her face every day. I’ve been spoiled by this sweet angel giving me all her days and nights. I possessively take hold of her wrists and like so many times before, the air stills as our connection intensifies. I can’t help myself when it comes to her.

I kiss her.

Rain pours down harder and I wrap my arms around her, engulfing her body, her love, her soul.

Quotes(#88)

“I like storms. Thunder torrential rain, puddles, wet shoes. When the clouds roll in, I get filled with this giddy expectation. Everything is more beautiful in the rain. Don't ask me why. But it’s like this whole other realm of opportunity. I used to feel like a superhero, riding my bike over the dangerously slick roads, or maybe an Olympic athlete enduring rough trials to make it to the finish line. On sunny days, as a girl, I could still wake up to that thrilled feeling. You made me giddy with expectation, just like a symphonic rainstorm. You were a tempest in the sun, the thunder in a boring, cloudless sky. I remember I’d shovel in my breakfast as fast as I could, so I could go knock on your door. We’d play all day, only coming back for food and sleep. We played hide and seek, you’d push me on the swing, or we’d climb trees. Being your sidekick gave me a sense of home again. You see, when I was ten, my mom died. She had cancer, and I lost her before I really knew her. My world felt so insecure, and I was scared. You were the person that turned things right again. With you, I became courageous and free. It was like the part of me that died with my mom came back when I met you, and I didn’t hurt if I knew I had you. Then one day, out of the blue, I lost you, too. The hurt returned, and I felt sick when I saw you hating me. My rainstorm was gone, and you became cruel. There was no explanation. You were just gone. And my heart was ripped open. I missed you. I missed my mom. What was worse than losing you, was when you started to hurt me. Your words and actions made me hate coming to school. They made me uncomfortable in my own home. Everything still hurts, but I know none of it is my fault. There are a lot of words that I could use to describe you, but the only one that includes sad, angry, miserable, and pitiful is “coward.” I a year, I’ll be gone, and you’ll be nothing but some washout whose height of existence was in high school. You were my tempest, my thunder cloud, my tree in the downpour. I loved all those things, and I loved you. But now? You’re a fucking drought. I thought that all the assholes drove German cars, but it turns out that pricks in Mustangs can still leave scars.”
