Review:Dare You To by Katie McGarry.

"I dare you..."

If anyone knew the truth about Beth Risk's home life, they'd send her mother to jail and seventeen-year-old Beth who knows where. So she protects her mom at all costs. Until the day her uncle swoops in and forces Beth to choose between her mom's freedom and her own happiness. That's how Beth finds herself living with an aunt who doesn't want her and going to a school that doesn't understand her. At all. Except for the one guy who shouldn't get her, but does....

Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can't tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn't be less interested in him.

But what begins as a dare becomes an intense attraction neither Ryan nor Beth expected. Suddenly, the boy with the flawless image risks his dreams-and his life-for the girl he loves, and the girl who won't let anyone get too close is daring herself to want it all....

The first time i saw the title i was curious to know how Beth's story will be.When i saw the blurb i was speechless because i thought that this will be about Beth and Isaiah ,not Beth and Ryan. When i saw the cover i forgot about Isaiah and i was like: Holy Moly!Yes i want to read this right now!
Now after i read the book i'm pretty sure that its better that this wasn't about Isaiah and Beth.
Anyway..I never thought that i would like Beth.Yeah, she was in Pushing The Limits, but i never paid attention to all the things she did because i was pretty much busy trying to understand the relationship between Noah and Echo.Now..Well,let's say that Beth's reactions and the things she did made me laugh out loud and sometimes get really mad because she was so damn stubborn. The point is that her life wasn't so great ,but everything changed!

I love when things change and the girl or the boy -the main character- is always trying to do things her/his way,but in the end she/he realizes that everything is how is supposed to be.

In this case...

From the beginning i was completely sure that Ryan and Beth were meant to be together.Yeah,it was hard ,but they didn't give up.Or at least Ryan didn't give up at first.
Between Scott,Beth's mother,Isaiah and Trent the only one who made me smile was Ryan, although there were moments when he was acting like a idiot.
He was the kind of person who despite everything that happened in his life never judge Beth and all he wanted to do was to help her.I'm not saying that Isaiah and Noah abandoned Beth-at least they got no choice in that matter, but in a way i was glad that the one who helped Beth realize that she was worth fighting for was Ryan.It made me like him even more.

Isaiah.I was sad because the way things turned out for him,but for me he will always be Beth's best friend.Honestly i can't imagine them being more than friends. And Noah?Ha!I'm glad that i could read a little about him in this book.

I have to admit that i'm impressed. This book was better then the first one,but all the emotions-the mixed emotions..It was a roller coster of events that created a beautiful story.Ryan and Beth's story.
All the characters were amazing and some of them pissed me off,but what really matters is the part they had in everything.
Honestly i never expected this book to be so complicated and beautiful at the same time.It made me realize that sometimes you have to forget about the past and focus on the present and the future even if it is hard.Going back and trying to help someone who doesn't want your help isn't right.

That's what Beth tried to do and the price was ..high.
