Review:Requiem by Lauren Oliver

They have tried to squeeze us out, to stamp us into the past.

But we are still here.

And there are more of us every day.

Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.

After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor.

Maybe we are driven crazy by our feelings.

Maybe love is a disease, and we would be better off without it.

But we have chosen a different road.

And in the end, that is the point of escaping the cure: We are free to choose.

We are even free to choose the wrong thing.

Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

After everything that happened in Delirium and Pandemonium i hoped that Requiem will have a better end.And i got what i wanted but i'm sad because it was really the end of this series.

Requiem wasn't exactly how i expected but i have to admit that i'm impressed.Yes,i wasn't all good and there were moments when i wished things could be easier or i don't know maybe different?Well,at least i can say that this book changed my opinion about so many things and some characters.

I wanted so bad to know what happened to Alex and now i know.It wasn't easy ,although it was better than to think he was dead.

In this book Lena is stronger and ready to fight for her life, but Alex's return and all the bad things made her question her actions.
Despite everything i can't say that i didn't like Julian. He was so good and tried so hard to help the group, but he didn't won the one thing he really wanted:Lena's heart.

I couldn't believe when Anabelle finally appeared.Since i read the novelle about her i was wondering if i will ever get the chance to read about how Lena finally gets her mother back.At first it was awkward but everything changer from bad to god.

I was a little shocked when i started reading Hana's chapters. She was changed and while i read every chapter i wanted the old Hana back. But now i know the truth about what really happened at the end of Delirium and i can't believe it.

Between Lena's chapters and Hana's i learned so many new things about them. Both are strong and beautiful, but the different between them is that Lena fought for what she believed in,meanwhile Hana accepted the cure.

I was so happy that Alex was alive and that he was back in Lena's life that i forgot about everything else for a moment.Yes,he wasn't like the old Alex but i expected that.Something bad happened to him and he changed.

This book was full of crazy moments and i loved evey single moment.

THe fight i waited for too long finally happened. The price was high but i was worth it.At the end of the book when the Invalids finally got the city under control and Lena found Grace and Alex all i could think about was that even if this wasn't the perfect end at least a part of it was what i really hoped for,but i admit that it could have been something better and epic.

The Delirium series is an epic story about people who think love is a disease, but not all of them. There were people who believed that love was something worth fighting for.
