Review:Let The Sky Fall by Shannon Messenger.

A broken past and a divided future can’t stop the electric connection of two teens in this “charged and romantic” (Becca Fitzpatrick), lush novel. Seventeen-year-old Vane Weston has no idea how he survived the category five tornado that killed his parents. And he has no idea if the beautiful, dark-haired girl who’s swept through his dreams every night since the storm is real. But he hopes she is.

Seventeen-year-old Audra is a sylph, an air elemental. She walks on the wind, can translate its alluring songs, and can even coax it into a weapon with a simple string of commands. She’s also a guardian—Vane’s guardian—and has sworn an oath to protect Vane at all costs. Even if it means sacrificing her own life.

When a hasty mistake reveals their location to the enemy who murdered both of their families, Audra’s forced to help Vane remember who he is. He has a power to claim—the secret language of the West Wind, which only he can understand. But unlocking his heritage will also unlock the memory Audra needs him to forget. And their greatest danger is not the warriors coming to destroy them—but the forbidden romance that’s grown between them.

Review:

For the first time in my life i can say that i'm completely grateful because stories like this one exists or that there are people who write something incredible for us readers.
At first i was interested to read this book because the description was awesome and the book cover was truly amazing, but i admit that when i started the book i couldn't stop reading.

Unique story.Amazing characters.A battle and true love. Its all i need.

The book was written from Vane and Audra points of views. Two amazing characters who did everything they could to save each other, the only problem was  that they weren't allowed to be together because of who Vane was-the last Westerly.

Vane couldn't remember what happened in the past-what happened to his real parents or what he really was was.The truth?Vane is a sylph-someone who can communicate with the winds. And Audra. After what happened with Vane's parent when he was just a little boy-she's Vane's guardian. Her task was tokeep him safe and help him remember the Westerly song.He is the last Westerly alive and he must fight.

Vane was funny and stubborn, but somehow the fact that he was stubborn helped him do things he new imagined he could do.The way he discovered the truth was not exactly easy but at least he discovered that the girl from his dreams was real.I liked that he was strong and capable of learning fast almost everything. But what i liked the most was that he was determined to not let Audra sacrifice herself.
Audra even if she was one of the main characters at first i didn't know what to believe about her.Like Vane she was stubborn, but her obssession to punish herself or to follow the Gales rules made me want to punch her in the face.Good thing she's fictional and not real.I have to admit that at some point i started to understand why she acted like that so my opinion changed a little. In a good way.

Westerlies.Easterlies.Northerlies.Southerlies.The four important things in this book besides Vane's life and Raiden's desire to learn the Westerlies language.

Betrayal.Hurt.Guilt.Those feelings were not missing, but love managed to erase them for a little while.

Honestly this book was incredible and i'm glad i read it ,even if i didn't like the end.Now because of how the book ended i'm looking forward to reading the next one.Until then you really have to read this one.You won't regret it!
